Professional Biography
Hanna Smith is a visual and community artist who lives in Northern Kentucky. She started her art career in the Cincinnati area after growing up in both South Carolina and Illinois. Her background gives her a strong love for creativity in everyday life.
Since 2021, Hanna has worked as a Teaching Artist with ArtWorks Cincinnati. She led young people and local groups in painting murals across the region. In 2023, she also joined Urban Blooms as a Horticulturalist, helping to build living murals (walls made of real plants that combine nature and art).
Outside of work, Hanna enjoys creating in many different ways. In summer 2023, she had her own art show in Washington, D.C. at the O Street Museum, where she displayed hand-painted denim. She also planned and hosted a neighborhood art fair and used to lead a monthly art club at Roebling Books & Coffee, where she worked as a barista.
Hanna’s art is all about making people feel included. She cares about sharing stories, making art easy to enjoy, and creating spaces where people can connect. Whether it’s a big mural or a small art activity, she believes art is for everyone, no matter their background or skill level. She especially loves painting birds and other animals.
